There Goes The Resume

A word or two of wisdom:

If you are a innocent undergraduate student of political science, be wary. If you are wide-eyed at the opportunity to intern with THE Governor's Office and thinking about the wonders that experience will do for your resume (even if it IS only data entry), be wary.

You might want to consider whether your governor is susceptibe to criminal behavior and/or political corruption. Or you may find yourself with a ominous black mark on your educational and work history.

Thanks. Alot. Blagojevich.

Well, at least it WAS only data entry and you weren't say, manning the switchboards of illegal, bribery and corruption-filled phone calls!

Aw crap. Seriously, though, it makes for a fun conversation piece in interviews. ;)

Oh wow. Just wow.

But...

I agree and PT-Law mom. It gives the interviewer something interesting to talk about.

BWAHAHAHA!

If it makes you feel any better, all three of the firms that I've worked for have since dissolved/merged/sold out in some way. So really, nowhere I worked still exists! Hawt, right?

That blows. Maybe if you don't mention Blagojevich by name on the resume, the person reading it will have a brain fart and mistakenly believe you worked for Gov. Ryan instead... Oh, wait... ;) Don't worry, our state's governors suck just as much.

Two previous employers of mine have been suspended by the bar for various infractions. It's usually worth a good laugh during the interview.

Too, too funny. Who knew Blago's missteps would be so far reaching? Oh well, data entry is one thing, but I feel bad for the person who has been cutting his hair- now there's a person who needs to worry about job security.
