We were exiting a parking garage today when the parking attendant informed us that he only took cash. No checks. No debit cards. No credit cards. I expect this from a parking lot where you stuff the cash into a box-- but not where there is an attendent with a register and a booth.
My husband looked at me in shock and said, "the only people who only accept cash are children and criminals!"
How ridiculous! I had to get out of the car, run across the street to an ATM machine (with a $3 fee) and run back to pay the guy so we could drive off. totally lame.

I HATE that . . . that's happened to me too. Except that as a bonus, I had to walk so far to the ATM that by the time I got back, I had moved into the next step up on fees so I had to pay more money for the privilege of parking my car there while I went to the stupid ATM. I was really pissed off.
